Joseph J. Task & Co. is a legal document preparation service. We are not a law firm, we are not attorneys, and we do not practice law. We cannot and do not provide legal advice. We cannot tell you which legal option is best for you, recommend a strategy, interpret the law as it applies to your situation, select forms on your behalf, or represent you in court or before any agency. What we do is prepare, type, format, notarize, and file the documents you direct us to prepare, based on the information and decisions you provide. All pro se services are document preparation services. The decisions about your matter remain yours. If you need legal advice, please consult a licensed attorney.
No attorney-client relationship
Using this website, submitting the contact form, calling us, or engaging our document preparation services does not create an attorney-client relationship, because no attorney-client relationship is possible with a non-attorney service. Information you share with us is not protected by attorney-client privilege. It may be discoverable in a legal proceeding. Please keep that in mind when deciding what to share and with whom.

Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you give us. We prepare documents from what you provide. We do not independently verify it, and we are not responsible for the consequences of information that is incorrect, incomplete, or withheld. You are responsible for reading every document before it is signed or filed, for meeting all court deadlines and filing requirements, and for deciding what action to take in your matter. Please confirm deadlines yourself with the court or agency involved.
Fees and payment
Fees vary based on the services provided. Our pricing starts as low as $150.00. No guarantee of outcome
We do not guarantee any particular result, ruling, approval, or outcome in your matter. No one honestly can. Courts and agencies make their own decisions, and they may reject, delay, or require changes to any filing for reasons outside our control. Our work is the preparation and filing of documents, performed with care. It is not a promise of a result.
